In the TV show “Riverdale,” the jolly dessertmaker’s proper name is given as Terence. Some stories have given Pop's real first name as Bob, Harold, Leo or Thomas, and in one story, it was given as Clark, but the official Archie Comics website gives his name as Terry. In still another comic, he purchased it as a young man from the retiring owner McGurk. In one installment of the series, it was revealed that Pop's dad was the original "Pops," while as a child he served at his side under the moniker "Junior." But some stories say that Pop opened the business himself. Like many things in the Archie continuity, Pop Tate's history has inconsistencies. In the 2000s, his main rival was Segarini, the pizza parlor owner, a minor but recurring character. In a comic centered on Pop, it was shown that he has a cousin named Russell, who runs a similar soda shop in the mountains. Jughead has been known to run his tab as long as possible, and put off paying it until Pop refuses any more credit. Many stories reflect the fact that his customers, particularly Jughead, don't always pay their tab. Tate constantly talks about how Jughead's appetite will provide for his retirement. He is a portly, thinning-haired, mustachioed gentleman who can seem gruff but is basically good-hearted. Pop Tate is the self-designated philanthropist for the Archie gang, hearing about their problems while serving ice cream and a variety of other goodies. A study of the history indicates that the world witnessed the emergence of different paradigms due to the appearance of four industrial revolutions. In other words, the product design should be compatible with the various paradigms that have been emerging in the world to meet different kinds of customer requirements. This development indicated that the products need to be designed to suit the behavioral pattern of not only the factories but also the humans and societies. Because of this situation, the behavioral patterns of factories, humans and societies changed. This kind of situation began to change when the world witnessed the intensification of competition. During these many centuries, the man designed millions of products which changed the behavioral patterns of factories, humans and societies. This phenomenon has been happening in the world through all the centuries that have passed after humans became designers. This act would have changed the behavioral pattern of hunting for preys and eating habits of the humans who used those preys. After manufacturing those weapons, the productivity and quality of catching preys by the humans would have been increased. ![]() As soon as the designing of this stone made weapon would have been completed, humans would have started the manufacturing of such stone made weapons. ![]() One of the earliest product design activity might be the changing of the shape of the stones to develop weapons to kill animals as prey for humans. Product design would have been the first design of any manufacturing activity. INTRODUCTION Right from the days when man became engineer, product design has been playing a crucial role in changing the behavioral patterns of factories, humans and societies. This challenge is addressed in this article by indicating the actions to be executed for this purpose and presenting a case study. The major challenge is that the designing of products has to be carried out to tune with the requirements of the Industry 4.0 requirements. Though accomplishment of this goal is going to help the industries to flourish, attaining this goal is going to be a challenge. Obviously, this derivation implies that application of Industry 4.0 will enable the companies to implement agile manufacturing paradigm by acquiring agility. Mass customization is an outcome of implementing agile manufacturing paradigm. By implementing industry 4.0 enablers, mass customization is achieved. This kind of facility will enable companies to design and manufacture products for supplying to the individual customers. Industry 4.0 demands the aggressive implementation of IT and communication devices and infrastructure to integrate machines in the factories so as to execute the operations with the characteristics namely interoperability and flexibility at unimaginable high speed. ![]() componentWillMount()) - not once per render. You want to create an instance once per component (i.e. Make sure you never call cytoscape() in your render method. If only React is driving writes, then there is no need for cloning (and Cytoscape does no cloning internally). if you mutate ele.data() outside the React component). You may need to clone the newEleJson objects if your data in your elements contain nested objects (e.g.If you use the naive approach and update everything on every render(), you will cause needless overhead with additional style calculations, events, etc. if( oldEleJson.data != newEleJson.data ). You don't want to specify the whole graph in cy.json() or whole elements in ele.json() - only diffs, i.e.You can install using 'npm i protolambda/react-cytoscapejs' or download it from GitHub, npm. react-cytoscapejs has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Permissive License and it has low support. ![]() You can be clever with diffs using fast = checks for which elements and which top-level fields (e.g. react-cytoscapejs is a JavaScript library typically used in Analytics, Data Visualization, Neo4j, D3 applications. You should really use Immutable to handle state with this approach (and in general, anyway). In this way, your model is held completely on the React side (in JSON) - and it is updated declaratively: Just specify the JSON diffs for the viewport and the changed elements. If the model ( state) for the component is just JSON, you can use cy.json() and ele.json() to rerender. I would suggest using Cytoscape as a model, because Cytoscape is a model - it just so happens to have a renderer/component extension included in the default build. There are no other projects in the npm registry using cytoscapejs-react. Start using cytoscapejs-react in your project by running npm i cytoscapejs-react. It also means you lose out on events and many other benefits. Latest version: 1.1.4, last published: 2 years ago. That approach follows in the next section, but it requires you to do diffing. In this approach, you treat Cytoscape as one of your models.Īlternatively, you can use Cytoscape just as a visualisation component, underneath React. You can pass Cytoscape instances to components if they need to access the graph data. Write your graph model in Cytoscape - or in a module on top of Cytoscape. In any case, if you need a Cytoscape.js based graph visualization component, we are happy to help.Īlthough React encourages using declarative components for everything, there's nothing stopping you from using Cytoscape normally as a model. Once it's ready, we'll publish the application code, too. The following is the one I'm working on now using these components and some other UI toolkits, and looks it works fine. Since we've just started this project, there are tons of TODOs and we need to write more documentations, but eventually we will provide more working examples and documents shortly. If you really need to handle huge networks in web browsers, you may need more dumb/simple renderer for speed and memory space, but I think Cytoscape.js is sufficient for most of real-world graph visualization projects. This is the limitation of our current approach, but it covers 90% of our use cases, so we decided to go this way. Maybe you noticed already, but in this approach, graph data exists in both Redux store and Cytoscape.js. It's mainly for developers who want to integrate this component to existing applications. This is optional if you are an experienced react/redux user, but if you use this, it can render the given data without knowing technical details inside these components. Utility to connect store and component (without knowing react/redux details).Still needs to add more event handlers, but they are already in our TODO list. This uses the store above and render the network using standard react+redux architecture. This is a thin React.js wrapper for Cytoscape.js. In our case, the actual graph and tables will be stored here. Just like other Redux applications, all data will be stored here. This is the store / reducers used by the component. Here is the list of things we have so far: At this point, we decide to use Cytoscape.js as a simple renderer for graphs and all data management will be done in Redux side. Since Cytoscape.js project started as a jquery-based library, it is a bit tricky to create React based component. Our goal is maintaining reusable visualization components for users who want to develop component-based applications quickly. We are doing this as our main project for modernizing the Cytoscape ecosystem, including both desktop and web applications. We are developing graph visualization components using Cytoscape.js, React, Redux, ES2015, Webpack, etc. Specifically, I would like to add a class to the nodes in path.I'm Kei from the Cytoscape Consortium. The problem I have is that I cannot figure out how to persist the 'cy' object so that I may access it at a later time. I have a functional GraphComponent that receives the list of elements used to render the Cytoscape graph, and a list of nodes I wish to animate. I am working with Cytoscape.js and React. ![]() Since we’re all creatives, it gives us a fun way to bond while also being productive.”īen Travis, Founder of, resonates with the sentiment. So you just need to put some cables on both ends and there you go. It’s less then the optimal 32.4v required but not that much lower, it might be able to light the strip a bit so we can identify which is not working. ![]() So, I took 3 9v batteries that were laying in a drawer, put them in series to make a virtual 27v battery (3 x 9v). ![]() That’s the maximum voltage we do NOT want to exceed, otherwise LEDs could be damaged during testing. By looking up this model online, I found out that the ones used on those strips need 3.6v so as there are 9 LEDs per strip: 3.6 x 9 = 32.4v input voltage required to light a single strip. One LED like those ones typically needs between 2.5-3.6v input voltage to light up. Professionals use LED testers such as this one (about 40$ on amazon) but as I didn’t had one at the time, I decided to make one, McGyver style! □ Using a multimeter, we can confirm that the strips are indeed set in series, so now we have to test each strip individually. Note: If you look closely, you’ll see that one looks different than the others! 3rd strip from the top, 6th LED from the left. Most LED backlight systems have strips set in series, meaning that if one of the them fails, all the system goes dark… First thing to do is look for burnt LEDs. So, let’s remove that white cover which is part of the light diffuser to have a good look at the backlight.Īs we can see, the backlight system is made of 5 LED strips. The first one is a classic LCD panel with a LED backlight, whereas the second is an OLED panel that doesn’t need any backlight as it is integrated in each pixels (making the spare parts much more expensive by the way). LED backlight is the most common thing these days, but do not mistake an LED TV with an OLED TV. Note: Older TVs have neon tubes for backlight, which is thicker and less exposed to this kind of failure. Here we can see that the backlight system is made of LEDs which is pretty simple to replace when being the cause of the failure. Now that LCD panel is removed, we can remove the bezel that maintain the backlight diffuser and access the backlight itself. Be very careful with the panel as it is extremely fragile! Remove the front housing then the LCD panel Turn the TV around to remove the front housing and the LCD panel. Detach the 2 ribbons on the bottom of the screen from the board In my case, with a Samsung F5000, I had to process as follows: Disassemblyįirst we have to remove the back housing to reveal the boards (from left to right: main board, T-CON, power supply) and disconnect the LCD panel from the T-CON board. That implies disassembling the TV to access the backlight which is between the LCD screen in the front and the boards in the rear. Now that we now the image itself is fine, this means the main board is probably fine too, so we are going to test the backlight system itself. The image would be very dark, like turning the brightness of the screen very very low. To do so, the easiest way is to power on your screen, put a flashlight very close to it and check if you can see the image through. As backlight failure is a very common issue, this is the first thing to test. The first step into repair is to find the root cause of the issue. As the repair costs for that kind of TV is pretty low, considering repairing it yourself might be a good idea! Diagnosis This problem on low-end TVs often occurs within the first couple years. One of my relatives had this exact symptom happening all of a sudden. In this post, we’ll take a look at the latter and at one way to fix it. Defective capacitor on the power supply board.Ever had your TV showing nothing but a black screen even if the audio was working? Unfortunately, that’s a common issue with low/middle-end LCD/LED TVs these days… Even more frustrating, this issue often comes from a rather tiny and cheap component that can be easily replaced. |
